About Playroom

Playroom Drama Education began in 2021 as a weekly drama class in Wentworth Point. Playroom’s purpose is to create unique workshop experiences for students to gain skills in drama, communication and collaboration, learning directly from creative practitioners.

Playroom is led by award-winning theatre-maker and arts facilitator, Gabe Francis. Gabe is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with seven years experience teaching drama to primary school students.

Gabe and the Playroom Teaching Team are passionate about sharing the joys of performance and creativity with young people. Each Teaching Artist brings their unique knowledge and experience as a creative practitioner to the delivery of our workshops ensuring they’re packed with compelling content and delivered with creative flair.
